Introduction
55 percent of the world’s population lives in cities, and this number is expected to continue to rise over the next decade in all of the world’s cities. This increase in urban population has had a negative influence on all of the city’s resources, particularly its food. The area that was formerly utilized for agriculture has now been converted into living space. As a result, all urban towns are fully reliant on suburban farming or imported foodstuffs to feed their rapidly growing populations.
